HEELS RALLY TO BEAT MIAMI

UPDATE: Heather Dinich at ESPN ACC Blog wrote this early on in the game:

No surprise in Miami

As expected, the Hurricanes are taking care of business against North Carolina and lead 14-0 after one quarter. Last I looked, UNC only had 61 yards of total offense. Butch Davis was right: It didn’t matter who started today — neither one of his backups look like T.J. Yates. Of course, you’ve got to give credit to a much improved Miami defense.

How that work out for you Heather?  Please note when she wrote this, I think Cam Sexton had just entered the game.  It is almost like she does not even watch the game and as it stands right now, more than an hour after the end of the game, Dinich has not mentioned the UNC win.  More stellar coverage from the “ACC” blog.

HOW ABOUT THEM HEELS!!!!!!!

Wow…what a huge clutch performance from Cam Sexton.  And the defense really buckled down to hold Miami to 10 points after going down 14-0 in the 1st quarter.

I will have more later tonight…until then enjoy the huge win!

  • I am in shock!! This was so sweet! Great permormance Cam! Good to see we have that rally mentality, as opposed to putting our heads down like in some previous seasons. I am becoming sold on this team.

That last pass was unbelievably intense. Cam really came through when needed. And I was glad to see that the team didn’t even think of giving up after a shaky start.

    GO HEELS!

I can’t believe I didn’t see it. I was on a boat listening to the radio. I can’t wait to see a replay. Way to go HEELS!

I’m in need for some basketball. Anyone remember where the video for the summer game is at?

Is Heather our “new” Billy Packer? Wow… how does the crow taste this evening, ma’am? GO TAR HEELS!

  • Still no posts about UNC or even Duke… wow. Doesn’t that seem to be the story of the ACC this weekend?

  • Remember she was working for the Baltimore Sun last year and considering that piece of information consider the attention she gives. She is heavy on the Virginia schools, Maryland and Georgia Tech(coached by former Navy coach Paul Johnson) She has attended games almost every weekend and the only one that did not involve one of the above teams was when she went to FSU last week for Wake-FSU.

She acknowledged Duke was up big on UVa during the afternoon. She made fleeting mention of UNC closing to 17-14 at one point but has yet to post ANYTHING about UNC pulling off a huge win at Miami to keep themselves viable in the Coastal Division. Perhaps she is simply too busy which is why ESPN maybe ought to hire a 2nd person.

  • She’s a joke. Really. Almost unlinkable. ESPN blogs are pretty worthless anyway.
