I just wanted to make sure I wasn't being to cavalier in my approach to winning. Yes, I agree, we need to put it all on the line in this game.

To me, this game reminds me a lot of the season opener back in 1993 against Southern Cal. We were on the road, nationally televised game, hoping to make an impression and really kick our program into high gear. We won that game and ended up with a great season.

I think this game is a lot closer to a must-win than most folks are saying. Sure, it's non-conference, on the road, blah blah blah. But, if we want to take the next step, hell - the first step, this is a game we HAVE to win.

Injuries are a part of football. Trying to avoid them actually puts you in greater danger.

To summarize: You play to win the game.

Well supposedly they did that versus McNeese State.

From this point going forward you do everything possible to win, especially when playing on ESPN in front of a national audience.

I simply can't wait! Do we need to play conservatively to ensure less injury? I mean, I know we always need to preserve optimal physicality, but do we need to put ourselves in a position so that staying healthy is the main focus at hand, and not winning at all cost?

Well stated THF.

I can only speak for myself but since the day I looked at the schedule my gut feeling was that if the Heels can come into the VT game 2 and 0, this program might turn the corner.

Tudor in the N&O today takes BD to task and is right on target.
