Wow, that’s some terribly bad logic. You don’t play the best player because the other one is loyal, and that UNC’s only loss at home wasn’t his fault? TJ doesn’t get injured and we win that game going away. I think we all respect and love Cam for what he has given us this year, but everyone also realizes there’s a reason that Yates won the job over the spring. All reports are that the two have supported each other brilliantly throughout the season, and I don’t see why this should be any different.

Tudor is trying to make a point that isn’t there. Pretty ugly writing.

Tudor is arguing on the premise that the two are even and the tiebreaker is all these reasons he came up with. Fact of the matter is they are not even. Everyone say it with me now: Yates was the starter last season and beginning this one for a reason. Tudor also forgets Davis thought Sexton was his 3rd best QB. Turns out that was not the case, he was better in games than Paulus but I have to believe if Yates is ready to go, he is option #1.

SO USING THIS LOGIC AND APPLY IT TO THE DANIEL EVANS SITUATION, THE QUOTE WOULD READ:

“Most guys in the same situation would have. He stayed. He stood by NC State Now, the school should stay with him for at least a while this season”

NO! TOB is playing the QB he thinks will give State a chance to win games, why can’t BD???

Rewarding loyalty would have kept John Bunting as head coach.
The way I see it, and as Butch has said, you start the players most capable of helping the team win. Football is about the team, not about placating one player’s feelings.
An old saying is that coaches should make calls that give their teams the best chance of winning. That includes who you put on the field, in my opinion.
