Warning: Pitt wins because Pitt out-rebounds people.

What is our main area of concern right now? Getting out-boarded by Nevada?

Then again, Pitt doesn't have a Babbit (or Singler) who can take Tyler out of the paint.

Pitt would beat us with a combination of good shooting (if not great)and put backs. The former seems to be inherent with UNC basketball and this year, the Notre Dame game and Wack-Mac were no exception. I'm still haunted by the ghost of Randolph Childress. The latter seems to be inherent with this season. I'm still not wquite sure why we're not getting more offensive boards.

But yeah, Pitt could cause problems...but let's wait and see where they are after the long Big East stretch and tournament.

For the record, Duke is still the most overrated team in the top five. They have not impressed me in a single win. I'm not counting the Purdue game in that you had an over-achieving Big Ten team (translation: cupcake) who simply laid down. Xavier were beginning a very poor stretch of basketball and had to play at Duke North (in joyzee where all of those terds who Princeton refused [and naturally went to Duke] return for the holidays).

Another year, another lovefest for Dook with the AP and ESPN. But hey, it always makes for such great drama when Dook starts to plummet around the end of February.

as for pitt, they have 9 players avging more than 10 mpg.
young 6-6
blair 6-7
fields 5-10
biggs 6-8
dixon 6-3
brown 6-6
wannamaker 6-4
gibbs 6-2
mcghee 6-10

specifically blair (265 lbs) and biggs (240 lbs) have sizeable presence inside while young makes plays everywhere. and fields is a very good distributor of the rock (4.4:1 ato ratio). in terms of the 3 pt shot, the overall % for their 5 best shooters (biggs, gibbs, wannamaker, fields and young) is a respectable 42%.

we definitely have more quality depth so our best bet is to run them off the court while lawson locks down fields and our bigs hold our ground. but if we give up too many offensive rebounds to this squad, we could be in trouble.

LA LA LA LA! I CANT HEAR YOU! NO MORE UNDEFEATED TALK! THAT IS BAD HAMBURGERS! I would actually prefer it if we lost at least one game. Lets do what Tyler says and "take it game by game".

And Pitt looked terrible against Rutgers... I'm becoming more and more convinced that the only team that can beat UNC, is UNC themselves.

Possibly because they have athletes on the interior that would be difficult for Heels to defend. Then again they also shot 30% from the floor against FSU and they are not considered a great three point shooting team. They also have some depth but the question is whether it has any quality to it like UNC's does.

And I am not convinced Georgetown is a great team despite the win versus UConn(who always underachieves) and despite the journalistic lovefest the Big East is enjoying from the ESPN talking heads.
