#4 Florida State vs #12 Georgia Tech
The winner plays UNC, not that it matters at this point.
C.Michael reports the UNC fans are in the majority at the Georgia Dome and it has a cocktail party feel to as they are waiting around now to boo Duke.

C.Michael: GT left their legs in Thursday…
I’d like to see Tech find their legs so they can at least take some out of FSU.
The worst thing about these tournaments is that most of the folks that go are hoity-toity rich people. Hence, the cocktail atmosphere. They are not necessarily representative of the majority of Tar Heel fans from places like Mars Hill.
C.Michael: Checking out from the Dome. This game is pretty unwatchable.
Tonight should be fun for C.Michael, hopefully.
TY UPDATE
What’s the update on the toe? Have you been able to do anything the last couple of days?
“Nope, just straight icing it and running on the bike. That’s the only thing I’ve been doing recently, because I can barely walk on it. It’s real tough to walk.”
Has it gotten worse throughout the week?
“It got worse on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday, that’s when I started seeing the swelling go down. I started to see the veins in my foot again and things like that, because those first two days, my whole foot was swollen.”
What’s your status for the rest of the weekend?
“The swelling finally went down from the Duke game, probably like two days ago, so we’re going to see how it is when I wake up in the morning. It’s been gradually getting better, which is good.”
If this was a NCAA Tournament game, would you have played?
“No, I wouldn’t have played at all, unless they injected me. But other than that, I wouldn’t have played.”
I hope GT wins.
I’m glad that Ty’s toe is at least getting better. Hopefully she will be good for the NCAA tourney. We probably won’t need him for first and second round games so he can get more rest then too.

Yeah, I’m really looking forward to tonight’s games. It took about 20 minutes for my heart to stop pounding after the UNC game. My section was completely overrun by Tar Heel fans. The atmosphere was electric.
