Summer of Deon! Update[7/3]

Team USA beats dismantles Finland in so many ways I could not begin to list them all.

Deon Thompson: 8 points, 7 rebounds, 2 blocks in 20 mins.

Next up: South Korea.

  • Like I said, there seems to be no correlation between his summer stats and ACC season stats. Hard to make anything of his play, other than the fact that this summer, along with his previous years of play, should make for a very seasoned athlete going into his last term wearing a UNC jersey. I would like for his stats to be more emphatic, but that is pretty nice considering 20 minutes of play.

Just read a who has the best(hottest) rivalries in college basketball. I’m not sure if my love for the Heels shades my understanding for this article but Carolina/Dook was 4TH!! What the What?? 4th?? I don’t know but it sounds four to low.

    1. Kentucky-Louisville
    2. Michigan State-Purdue
    3. Kentucky-Tennessee
    4. North Carolina-Dook

  • Haha! That is laughable! Michigan St vs Perdue. Just because Perdue happens to be a good team doesn’t mean didly to me. That needs to be in one of Bo Jackson’s commercials. Just because two teams happen to be good and located near each other does not make a big or hated rivalry. Even if that was the criteria, Duke & UNC still overshadow that. The Duke UNC rivalry is great even (on the rare occastion) when both teams or just one team is great or stinks. No way does those even compare. Perdue fans could care less at times. Same with Michigan St. Now I buy into the Kentucky Louisville notion. That can be a heated matchup, AT TIMES! Same with Kentucky Tennessee, AT TIMES. Duke/UNC at ALL TIMES!
