Now is the time I've predicted since the preseason. I hate Draughn is out but if the Heels win Saturday, Anthony Elzy will need to have a big game rushing as well as recieving out of the backfield. Little, White and J Boyd will need to run hard. Keep that D fresh and the Heels have a chance.

A big D turnover deep or a TD will be needed. Harris needs to be intercepted a couple of times as well.

Has there been a team in recent UNC football history that has battled to the extent that the 2009 Tar Heels have? A lot of you guys follow UNC football much more closely than I do, but I think this team may have more to be proud of than any UNC team in the last 25 years in terms of effort and battling the odds.

Granted there have been some cupcakes, but Duke, VPI and UConn have all given other highly regarded teams fits and UNC edged all three.

Indeed. The coaches really turned things around following the 2nd half debacle vs FSU and the defense has really arrived. Unfortunately, the injuries have piled out to the point I am not sure how much magic they have left.

If they can win one more even of the last three, you have to give them credit, especially with all of the injuries. A lot of us had just about checked out after the UVa game but UNC refused to quit. They deserve kudos for effort.
