UNC smacked Coastal Carolina 14-5 Saturday night to put them in prime position to advance to the Super Regionals. Alex White got shaken up and only pitched 4.2 innings before the bullpen shut Coastal down the rest of the way.

UNC opened the NCAA baseball regional with a 5-2 win over Ivy League champion Dartmouth. Dustin Ackley(who else) was 3-5 with two RBIs.
