How Not To Handle An End Of Game Situation

I tend to concur with the headline on this at Awful Announcing.  Arizona might be the dumbest basketball team on the planet.  Or poorly coached, watch the video after the jump and decide.

Lawson Arrested; Previous Violations Found[UPDATED]

UPDATE[3:04 PM]: The N&O has uncovered at least three speeding violations for Lawson and also that he failed to appear in court for both of them.

State Division of Motor Vehicles records indicate that Lawson was convicted Sept. 14 of speeding 80 mph in a 65 mph zone in Granville County and Aug. 31 of speeding 70 mph in a 55 mph zone in Durham County. The records also indicate that he failed to appear in court on several occasions.

He also was charged with speeding 68 mph in a 45 mph zone in Wake County in May 2007 but failed to come to court, according to court records.

While all of these are basically minor traffic violations with the exception of the ones last night, it makes Lawson look grossly irresponsible to (1) get caught five times and (2) blow off related court appearances.

UPDATE: According to the State of Maryland court records, Lawson was charged in Silver Spring, MD on May 12, 2008 for failing to produce his license at a traffic stop. He is due in court there on July 22nd. I guess this explains why his license was revoked.

Are you freaking kidding me? Can this offseason of UNC basketball get any stranger? It is starting(and I emphasize starting) to feel like the spring of 2003 again.
